What is Qasil Powder?

Qasil Powder is one of the beauty secrets of many East-African women and especially Somali women. It is made from dried and crushed leaves of the gob tree. Qasil powder contains an agent called saponins, which is a cleansing agent. Thus, it can be used as a face wash, face mask, and even as a powder shampoo.

 

 

How to use Qasil powder as a face cleanser?

1. Wash your hands

2. Wet your face and neck

3. Sprinkle a small amount of Qasil powder and little water (or rose water) onto the palm of your hands

4. Rub your hands together

5. Tap the product to your damp face and neck

6. Massage the product into your skin for about 60 seconds

7. Rinse your face and neck with tepid water

8. Moisturise your skin
